Welcome to SportsWeather (the "App"). We value your privacy. This policy explains what data we process, why we process it, and how you can manage your data and permissions.
1. Data We Process
Device Location (Optional)
- When you grant permission, the App reads your current location to fetch local weather data and show recommended time slots.
- You can also use the core features by manually entering a city or place without enabling location permission.
In-App Preferences (Local Storage)
- Your settings (for example temperature preference, wind thresholds, and saved places) are stored locally on your device using UserDefaults.
- These preferences are not automatically synced to developer-operated servers.
2. How We Use Data
- To provide weather forecasts and playable-slot analysis for your selected location.
- To save your preferences and improve user experience.
- To perform basic troubleshooting when errors occur (not for ad profiling).
3. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing
To retrieve weather data, the App may send your queried location or coordinates to:
- Apple WeatherKit
- QWeather
We do not sell your data, do not use it for cross-app tracking ads, and do not build advertising profiles.
4. Permissions
- Location permission is used only for weather lookup and display for your current or selected place.
- You can disable location access anytime in iOS Settings and continue using manual city input.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
- Local settings and saved places remain on your device until you remove the app or clear related settings.
- We do not operate a user account system and therefore do not store direct account identity data.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If a guardian believes data was collected in error, please contact us.
7. Policy Updates
We may update this policy to reflect product or compliance changes. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
