Introduction

Record&Cut ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use our macOS application.

The short version: We do not collect, store, or share your personal data. Everything stays on your Mac.

We believe that your content belongs to you. Our application operates entirely locally on your device.

Video & Audio Recordings: All videos and audio recorded using Record&Cut are stored locally on your Mac's hard drive. We do not upload your recordings to any cloud servers.
Scripts & Text: The scripts you import or type into the teleprompter are stored locally within the application's sandbox or your project folders.
Speech Recognition Data: We use Apple's on-device Speech Recognition API to align your speech with the teleprompter. This audio data is processed locally on your device and is not sent to our servers.

To function, Record&Cut requires access to your computer's camera and microphone.

Camera: Used solely for recording your video and displaying the preview.
Microphone: Used solely for recording audio and for the speech recognition feature to scroll the teleprompter.

You can revoke these permissions at any time in your macOS System Settings.

We do not use any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services. We do not share your data with any third parties.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
